Request

It has been reported that in previous years Health and Community Services staff have been given vouchers as an incentive to have the Covid and 'flu vaccinations.  How much has been spent since 2020 on these vouchers?

Response

Health and Community Services staff who opt to receive a Covid or ‘flu vaccine are provided with a token that can be exchanged for a cup of tea or coffee in the hospital canteen, should they wish to.

Finance records show that £1,500 was allocated from a gift fund to cover any costs associated with staff who choose to redeem their token.

No record is held of the number or percentage of tokens that have been redeemed per year.
