I would like information from the Department of Infrastructure regarding all reports and papers that were used to determine the capacity of the new Energy for Waste Plant.
Response
The Energy from Waste Plant capacity had been discussed and developed over a long period starting in the early 2000s and involved waste strategies, scrutiny questions, States questions and debates, etc.
The information requested will be held in varying forms; paper, electronic, some of which will have been archived.
It is estimated that the time to collate all correspondence would exceed 12.5 hours.
Regulation 2(1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) Jersey Regulations 2014 allows an authority to refuse a request for information where the estimated cost of dealing with the request would exceed the specified amount of the cost limit of £500. This is the estimated cost of one person spending 12.5 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.
To answer this question as specified would take more than 12.5 hours of work and therefore the Department of Infrastructure is unable to provide an answer.
