Request
A
With reference to the Janitorial Supplies Agreement, please advise how much was spent in 2023 by the Government of Jersey, in particular the spend with Tower Supplies.
B
In conjunction, what was the criteria used and deemed acceptable to roll over the Janitorial Supplies Agreement without being put out to tender?
Response
A
In 2023 the Government of Jersey spend with the corporate Janitorial supplier provider ‘Tower Supplies’ was £832,000.
B
The decision to extend this contract was based upon the supplier’s consistent and continued satisfactory performance throughout the term of contract against their key performance indicators. These include factors such as high stock availability, meeting delivery times within two days of order, low pick error, progress in supporting the Government of Jersey in order consolidation, and minimising and resolving service complaints.
Preliminary planning for the new strategy of supply of Janitorial suppliers for the Government of Jersey is planned to commence later this year so that a decision with regard to re-tendering this service is secured for the 2025 programme of works.
