Median teacher pupil ratio (FOI)

Please advise the median teacher pupil ratio at each of Jersey's Government of Jersey schools?

The department holds pupil and staff numbers, however, the data is not available in a format that allows a calculation to be undertaken of the teacher pupil ratio at class level. To provide an answer to the request would require extraction and manipulation of data to produce new information. Under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 a Scheduled Public Authority is not required to manipulate and create new data sets in order to respond to requests. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
