For each of the primary schools in Jersey:
A
Does the school currently offer free school meals to all students?

If the school only offers free school meals to eligible students then what is the eligibility requirements and how many students are currently eligible?

Will the school offer free school meals to all students - i.e. with no eligibility requirements - from September 2024?
If not, when will [X school] offer free school meals to all students with no eligibility requirements?
D
Does the school currently have a kitchen in which to prepare hot meals?
If not, where are meals going to be prepared at [X school]?

Does the school have a dedicated 'servery' or dining hall?
If not, where are students going to eat their meals at [X school]?

If the space at the school is a classroom, please tell me what use this space ordinarily has, i.e. a music room, an assembly hall, etc.

Has the school had to build new facilities in order to accommodate student mealtimes?
If yes, can you send me the planning approval for the facilities at the school?

Free meals within Government of Jersey schools are not offered to all students.
B
The criteria is listed below:
- Children who are or have been Children Looked After
- Children from households who have recently claimed Income Support
- Children from households with 'Registered' status that would qualify to claim Income Support if they had lived in Jersey for five years
- Service Jersey Premium
- Exceptional circumstances,
It is not possible to predict how many children will be eligible until September 2024. The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 gives a right to request information that is held in recorded form, unless exempt. This aspect of the request poses a question rather than seeking information held in recorded form.
These criteria apply to all Government of Jersey provided Primary schools.

Mont Nicolle and St. Mary’s are the only two schools where which have utilised classrooms. Both retain the classroom function as they have utilised the kitchen spaces that were within them.

All schools require a servery to be developed.

All schools in the scope of this project are due to have facilities in place by the end of December 2024.
