How much has been spent or budgeted for the yearlong park and ride trial in St Brelade?
Please include all additional costs involved where possible such as the cost of renting the car park, the cost of putting on additional bus services and extra signage and so forth.
Response
The Park and Ride trial scheme is operational until August 2024 and will help the Government of Jersey to assess what part small-scale schemes such as this might play in encouraging Islanders to switch private vehicle trips to public transport.
There was no dedicated budget created for this trial and any set-up work and administration regarding the issue of permits was undertaken by Government of Jersey staff as part of their business as usual activities.
No additional costs were incurred regarding this trial since the car park is an existing Government of Jersey facility and no additional bus services were provided or signage used for this trial.
