Information regarding how many children across each Government of Jersey school who will be eligible for free school meals at the start of the new academic year in 2024 will not be available until the academic year starts. The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 gives a right to request information that is held in recorded form, unless exempt. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Please note cohorts can change from one year to the next, however the Government of Jersey runs a termly census and the autumn term numbers will be available around October 2024 half term. Therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
