Please confirm the number of people in Jersey prescribed antianxiety or antidepressant medication each year over the last ten years, broken down by adults and children.
Response
As noted in previous Freedom of Information responses for prescription data published to www.gov.je, it is not possible to report upon the number of people in Jersey prescribed such medications, and records are not available in respect of items prescribed and dispensed privately. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
Information and annual figures for prescriptions dispensed by Health and Community Services’ Pharmacy and those dispensed by community pharmacies under the Health Insurance Fund for specified medications, including those that may be used to treat anxiety or depressive disorders (as well as other conditions), has been provided in response to a Freedom of Information request published in July 2024, available on www.gov.je at the following link:
