I would also like to know how many elderly people currently reside in Care Homes locally and how this figure compares to the past 5 years?
Response
As noted in a Freedom of Information response published to www.gov.je in July 2021, data on the numbers of care home residents is not held by the Government of Jersey. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
Information on the number of beds registered for each care home can be found on the Jersey Care Commission’s website, linked below:

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –
(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or
