Reasons why children were suspended or expelled: (I understand this may be impossible for each individual case but a cross reference would be good).

The range of time lengths the children were suspended for: Eg from 1 day to 2 weeks.

The number of instances of suspension in primary schools is outlined below:

The Education Department is unable to provide a breakdown by school of the data supplied above as the numbers are small, and as such, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request.
The number of instances of suspension in secondary schools is outlined below:

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
