States of Jersey managed print contract annual costs (FOI)

Could you provide me with the annual costs incurred across the board under the printing [company name redacted] contract please? Specifically, can you provide the click per page charge for colour and black and white pages? Are these charges the same within every States department or are there exceptions?

Response

The annual spend in 2014 for the provision of the Managed Print Service to the States of Jersey was £1,300,406.

Under the Managed Print Service the page costs are the same within every States Department.
Under the Freedom of Information ( Jersey) Law 2011 we consider the disclosure of specific click per page costs related to this contract would prejudice the commercial interests of the public authority and the current managed print service provider. This exemption is based upon the following exemption.

33 Commercial Interests

Information is qualified exempt information if -
a. it constitutes a trade secret ; or
b. its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of a person (including the scheduled public authority holding the information)

Article 33 is a Qualified Exemption and therefore is subject to a Public Interest Test. Disclosure of page costs would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of the scheduled public authority and incumbent service provider. Therefore we consider it would not be in the public interest to release this information at this time and this exemption should be maintained.
