This report presents statistics on terminations of pregnancy conducted in 2014 under the Termination of Pregnancy (Jersey) Law 1997.
This latest report shows that the number of abortions in 2014 was some 10% lower than in the previous year, 2013, and the lowest number of abortions recorded in Jersey since the introduction of the law in 1997. Most terminations (63%) were a woman's first abortion, whilst four-fifths (83%) of abortions were conducted before the 10th week of pregnancy.
