Summary
Jersey's resident population at the end of 2014 was estimated as 100,800.
The 2014 report shows that during the two year period to December 2014:
- the resident population increased by 1,800 people
- net inward migration accounted for 1,200 of the two year increase
- natural growth (the excess of births over deaths) accounted for the remaining 600
Average (mean) net migration over the latest three year period (2012 to 2014) was 600 persons per year into the Island.
During the last 10 years, the resident population has increased by almost 11,000 people.
