The objective of this desk-based scoping study was to provide an overview of aspects of historic battlefields and the marine/ underwater cultural heritage that might impact on the States of Jersey, particularly in relation to legislation, protection and management. The study builds on an overview of battlefield and wreck sites and their significance to Jersey, in its regional and international context. More importantly, based on comparative analysis, the study identifies procedures for listing and protecting battlefield sites and underwater archaeology.
