This survey on heritage in Jersey took place in 2009.

The aim of the survey was to find out Jersey residents' views on the Island’s heritage.

This report is divided into two sections.

The first section shows:

• what Islanders understand and value about Jersey’s identity and heritage
• Islanders' views on protection and participation in heritage

The second section shows:

• Islanders' views on historical buildings and areas
• what Islanders would like to see protected
• how Islanders want changes to be managed
