Summary
The purpose of this strategy is to provide guidance and detail on how the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service will promote a 'fire safe' culture within Jersey, supporting not only the Service's vision - 'to make Jersey a safer community where there are no preventable deaths, injuries or damage from fires and other emergencies' - but also the States of Jersey Strategic Plan and the Home Affairs Business Plan.
The strategy is driven by the Safer Communities Directorate, which encompasses two objectives each giving rise to their own priorities, projects and initiatives: Protection and Prevention. The document sets out how these objectives will work together - and independently - to reduce risk in our local community.
