The PEPF 2016 annual report outlines the activities of the pension scheme over the last year
The report highlights that:
- during the year the investments of the scheme increased by £100 million to be valued at £1.9 billion at the end of the year
- the fund's investments continued to grow with an overal return of 10% in 2016
- the scheme closed to new membership on 1st January 2016 and the overall scheme membership slightly decreased as a result. By the end of 2016 the scheme had 14,225 members, of which 47% were active members, 33% pensioners and 20% deferred members
- in 2016, the DPU processed 93% of tasks within five days exceeding the target to complete 90% of task within five days.
