Summary
An open exhibition about an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Future Hospital took place at Church House, St Helier on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 May 2017.
Planning regulations require an EIA to be undertaken on proposed large-scale developments. This is to assess the potential effect on the surrounding area while building work is in progress.
Following the decision to build a new hospital on part of the existing site of Jersey General Hospital, an application seeking outline planning permission is being prepared. With a project of this scale there is a lot of information that has to be gathered to support the application.
