Summary

This report summarises the attainment of Jersey pupils at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in curriculum teacher assessments and presents trends in academic attainment over the past three years. Attainment is broken down by pupil characteristics such as gender, first language, month of birth, special educational needs (SEN) and being in receipt of Jersey Premium.

The Jersey Curriculum was introduced in primary schools in 2014. The Jersey Primary Assessment Framework is used to assess pupil performance against this curriculum. This framework assesses Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils as Emerging, Developing or Secure within the expectations for their year group. It does not equate with the old assessment methodology of levels which was used for the previous curriculum.
