​In order that it can ensure the provision of safe, effective and value for money services, the Health and Social Services Department must function as a “fit for purpose” business within the States of Jersey. It must be able to evidence and operate efficient and effective systems and processes of corporate, clinical and financial governance. This Plan sets out the actions already taken and those that are programmed to be delivered during 2011 that will further strengthen the structures, systems and processes that underpin the operation of a well governed, fit for purpose, States Department.
