Summary
The report was commissioned by the Chief Fire Officer, as part of his duties at Article 4 of the Fire and Rescue Service (Jersey) Law 2011, to:
- consider whether the Service's Community (Integrated) Risk Management Plan is doing what it needs to do and is fit for purpose
- assess compliance with National operational Guidance and progress against it
- examine the rationale and plans for reform of the Fire Precautions (Jersey) Law 1977 and to highlight the key risks and challenges arising
- consider the capacity of the Service set against operational and major incident risks as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in relation to succession planning and talent management
