The European lobster (Homarus gammarus) is a mainstay of Jersey's commercial fishing industry and is also targeted by recreational pots and low water fishers. This report summarises the biology and ecology of lobster, the structure of the fishing fleet and its history, trends in catches and management over time, as well as past and current research and management recommendations for the future.
