The Environment Department commissioned James Milne & Consultancy Solutions to conduct a high level review into competition and pricing issues in the energy markets that may exist in Jersey during December 2008.

The report builds on previous investigations especially the retail petrol market.

The conclusions show that there is scope for further investigations into the potential for “regulation” of the different energy sectors as long as it can be run in an efficient and prudent manner.
