​The Williamson Report inquired into child protection services in Jersey, investigating the appropriateness or otherwise of policies, procedures and current practice. It concludes with 11 recommendations, and was later followed by an Implementation Plan.

In summary, the report states that:

• there is a high standard of work within Children's Services
• there is a need for a more joined up approach to provide services for children and young people within the Island
• an external organisation should inspect Children's Services every 2 years
