​​Building a Safer Society Strategy (BASS) has 3 strategic priorities:

• to create a safer society by reducing crime, public disorder and anti-social behaviour
• to provide people with opportunities to develop their potential as lifelong learners and active and responsible members of society
• to reduce the harm caused by drugs, alcohol and solvents

Each of these priorities has its own key objectives.  This annual report of BASS for 2007 sets out the progress made against these objectives during 2007 and provides information about the work undertaken by BASS.
