Summary
Practices that could be described as restorative, or based on restorative thinking, have
a long and diverse history. Their main focus is to contribute towards reparation of harm
caused by crime and provide an environment where amendments can be made. The
main participants of those processes are the victims, offenders and the community
which have been affected by the offence. What benefits restorative justice may deliver
have been the subject of this research.
