The Minister for the Environment resolved on 18 August 2017 that a Public Inquiry is to be held into two planning applications submitted as follows:
Field No. 770, Retreat Farm, La Rue de la Frontiere, St Mary
Demolish glasshouse and ancillary structures in Field 770. Construct 13 No. two bed and 14 No. three bed self-catering accommodation units and ancillary structures with associated hard and soft landscaping.

Car Park and Field No. L78, Retreat Farm, La Rue des Varvots, St Lawrence
Demolish glasshouses to Field No. L78. Alter vehicular access onto La Rue de la Frontiere. Construct 1 No. four bedroom single storey house, detached three car garage and swimming pool to car park South of Field No. L78 with associated landscaping and parking.

The Inquiry shall be held in accordance with the Planning and Building (Public Inquiries) (Jersey) Order 2008 (Amended 2015).
When the Inquiry will commence
The inquiry opened at 2.00pm on Monday, 19 February 2018 in the Members Room at the Societe Jersiaise, 7 Pier Road, St Helier and is expected to last five days.
Any representations are being heard and considered by Mr Graham Self MA MSc(Eng) FRTPI, the independent Inspector appointed to hold the Inquiry.
