​Register as a pharmacist
You must be registered under Jersey law to work as a pharmacist on the Island. It's against the law to work as a pharmacist if you're not registered.
You must also be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Working outside Britain on the GPhC.​
To register in Jersey:
log in to myGPhC portal on the General Pharmaceutical Council and request a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS). Your CCPS will be automatically sent to our registration team. This can take up to 28 days
Apply to register as a pharmacist​
There is a one-off registration fee of £100. ​
You’ll need:
- your GPhC registration number
- a debit or credit card to pay the fee. We don’t accept American Express, Diners and Electron
The application form will ask you questions on your fitness to practise. If you need to inform us of any issues, you’ll need to complete the Something to Declare form.

Renew your registration
Once registered you must renew your registration every year. The Pharmacy Registration team will email you a renewal form in January each year.
If you don’t renew, we will remove you from the register. You won’t be able to continue to work as a pharmacist in Jersey.

If you think somebody is working as a pharmacist and you can’t find their name on the register, email pharmacyregistration@health.gov.je.
