Arriving at the hospitals
For directions to the ward or surgical reception, you should speak to the enquiry desk located at the entrance to each building.
If you're having surgery, you must check in at the surgical reception first.
When you reach the ward, the nurse or ward clerk will explain what will happen.
Senior staff will explain the treatment you're having and will ask you to read and sign a consent form.
Your care
Your consultant will be responsible for your care, and a named qualified nurse will be responsible for your nursing care.
The hospital will keep a nominated point of contact informed with how you're doing.
Leaving the hospital
If you have booked your travel through the Travel Office, the hospital will contact us and arrange your travel home.
If you have booked travel on your own, you will need to make your own arrangements to get back to Jersey.
If you're transferred straight back to Jersey hospital, the consultant will let us know and we'll make travel arrangements.
Interpreters
If you need an interpreter or a signer, you'll need to tell the hospital before you go by phoning +44 (0) 2380 794688.
