​Spring Booster 2025​

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), has recommended a Covid-19 booster vaccination this spring, for the following groups:  

• adults aged 75 years and over (and those who will turn 75 before 30 June 2025)
• residents in a care home for older adults 
• individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in COVID-19: the g​reen book, chapter 14a, Tables 3 and 4
  

Islanders in any of these groups are eligible for vaccination, which can be arranged with GP practices between 1 April and 30 June 2025.

GP practices will organise clinics over this period, so please check with your GP for their planned clinic dates. The booster vaccine should be offered around 6 months after the last vaccine.

Residents of care homes for older adults will be offered their vaccination in their homes, please speak to the care home manager for information regarding specific care homes.
