List of youth clubs (youth projects)

​​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​Coming to our clubs

Anyone aged 8 to 18 can come to youth clubs.

Our clubs offer a variety of activities and most are open to everyone. Some clubs are only for certain young people and you often have to be referred. These are called targeted clubs.

We also offer on-Island residentials and off-Island trips.

You don’t need to book, just come on the day.

Most entries are £1​. Your first time is free. If you can’t afford the entry, speak to the Youth Worker in charge.

Contact us if your child has additional needs or disabilities. Our Inclusion team can provide support.​

The Jersey Youth Service run all youth clubs. Our Youth Workers are always present during the sessions to welcome new people, offer support or give information.

Youth clubs are also called youth projects.

Register a young person​

If it's your first time coming to a club, your parent or carer need to complete our registration form. They must have parental responsibility.

You can complete the form yourself i​f you’re aged 13 or over.

List of youth clubs​

Youth clubs are a relaxed and social space to meet your friends.

We offer different activities such as:

  • arts and crafts
  • drama, dance and talent shows
  • pool tables and games
  • indoor sports
  • cooking
  • quiet areas

Our Youth Workers are present during all sessions.

Most entries are £1 but it can change depending on the club. Check out the tables below for details.

We only take cash. Bring extra money if you'd like to buy snacks and drinks.​

The Culture Club

The Culture Club supports young people from minority ethnic backgrounds.

It helps young people:

  • embrace their identities
  • make new friends
  • have fun along the way

The club is a safe and inclusive space where young people can connect, share experiences, and access opportunities.

It provides fun activities and social action projects, where they can get involved in the community.

List of targeted clubs

Targeted clubs support children and young people who need extra help or have additional needs.

Groups and activities are focused on their social, wellbeing, health and emotional needs. This can be helping them:

  • improve a particular area of their life such as wellbeing, education or relationships
  • build confidence in a life skill

You have to be referred to some of the targeted clubs or you can contact the Youth Workers in charge.

Fees are detailed in the tables below.

LGBTQ+

You can come to this club if you’re a LGBTQ+ young person from any backgrounds.

You’ll be able to meet like-minded people and receive support from our Youth Workers.

The club is confidential. You can be referred or contact the Youth Worker in charge to join.

Youth Inclusion

This club offers social opportunities for young people aged 11 to 25 who have additional needs.

We offer:

  • 4 club sessions per week
  • a summer programme of activities
  • a signing choir. The choir practices once a month. It can participates in many events and performances during the year

We can work closely with the young person and their family to make sure they have a smooth transition, including:

  • meeting the staff team
  • taking a tour of the building before
  • talking about any adaptations we need to make 

Entry fee is £1 for all sessions.

There is no formal referral process. Contact the Youth Worker in charge to join.

​Short breaks

Our Short Breaks service provides school holiday and weekly short breaks and respite for young people. They must be aged 11 to 18 years and have additional and complex needs.

You can come to:

  • 3-hour club sessions every week
  • holiday programmes during Easter, summer and Christmas holidays

Our specialist provision is for young people with more complex health or personal care needs and offer holiday provisions again through the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.

You need to be referred to access our Short Breaks by:

  • a teacher
  • GP
  • social worker
  • other professional

Referrals go through the Children and Families Hub. They assess if the young person would access Targeted or Specialist Short Breaks. There is a cost, contact the Hub for more details.

My Time for Young Carers

My Time is for young people aged 8 to 18 who are affected by the needs of other members of their family.
