Treasury Minister Senator Terry Le Sueur today wrote to States Members with an end-of-year update on his proposals for the potential sale of Jersey Telecom.
The Senator confirmed his view following initial advice was that a sale of Jersey Telecom would be good for the company, its customers and the Island. The best form of a sale is yet to be determined and is the subject of intensive work by a team of specialists.
Commenting today, Senator Le Sueur said:
“I intend to put my detailed proposals to the States in February of next year. I am confident my advisers, in consultation with the stakeholders, will assist me in bringing forward the best option for the States to decide upon.”
