Work on the sewer system is being undertaken in Poonah Road and Aquila Road starting on Monday 20 November at 8am for twenty weeks. The works will be carried out in consecutive phases and access will be restricted to businesses and premises only.
These essential works will replace the very old and failing foul sewer and construct a new surface water sewer enabling separation which will not only reduce the risk of flooding and spillage into the sea but also mean that surface water is not unnecessarily treated at Bellozanne.
All businesses in the area will be open as usual and Transport and Technical Services and their contractor will do their best to minimise disruption.
