10 December 2007
Captain Howard Le Cornu, Chief Executive and Harbour Master has issued the following statement in relation to an incident involving Commodore Goodwill on Monday 10 December 2007.
I can confirm that the Commodore Goodwill experienced a problem during operations whilst manoeuvring to berth in St Helier Harbour during strong winds this morning, Monday 10 December 2007.
The Commodore Goodwill came to rest against the Western Arm of La Collette Yacht Basin. She then proceeded back out to sea, with the assistance of the States Tug ‘Duke of Normandy’.
No damage has been reported at this time, subsequent to an initial inspection onboard the Commodore Goodwill.
The Commodore Goodwill, operated by Condor Ferries Ltd, is a RoRo cargo ship, which carries up to 12 truck drivers and no passengers.
