As a consequence on the ongoing trade dispute between the European Union and the United States of America, and in conformity with World Trade Organisation authorisation, the EU has further amended Commission Regulation 673/2005, which is directly applicable to Jersey, thereby imposing additional Customs duties of 15% on the importation of certain goods originating in the United States. These additional duties which have effect from 1st May 2007 are in addition to those duties which may already be applicable. A full list of goods affected by additional duties is shown below.
