The visiting passenger ship Logos II has recently been involved in two safety incidents, one of which caused damage to another vessel.
The Minister has concluded that an independent investigation of the facts is required.
Due to the lack of an appropriate investigating body being available locally, the United Kingdom’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), has been engaged as an expert, independent and well-respected investigator body.
Once the investigation is completed the report will be publicly available and until such time it is regretted no further comment can be made.
