The discovery of human remains at Haut de la Garenne has been widely reported. There may be Islanders who have been deeply affected by this emotionally and who at this time would like to discuss their feelings with an impartial and professional counsellor. If you are such a person then you may wish contact Dr Tracy Wade , Consultant Clinical Psychologist on 444560. Such discussions would be in confidence.
The States of Jersey Police established a specific counselling service in 2007 for the benefit of victims, and alleged victims, arising from its wide-ranging investigation into historic child abuse. The service is run by the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (N.S.P.C.C.) the dedicated telephone number is 0800 169 1173.
