Conservation Volunteer Morning with the National Trust for Jersey and the Environment Department
Sunday 14th February 2010 from 10.30 to 13.00 Come and fall in love with Jersey's south west coast!
La Landes du Ouest (Gorselands) S.S.I.
Meet in the car park behind the Corbiere Phare, St Brelade
Fancy a chance to enjoy fresh air, beautiful views and surroundings, have fun and, in some more strenuous tasks, keep fit?
- Want to learn more about issues facing the countryside such as invasive plants, erosion, habitat protection and threatened species?
- Like to give something back to the community?
- Feel like learning some new skills and making new friends?
Stuck for the perfect Valentine Day gift? why not spend the morning with your loved one getting dirty with some hands on conservation work! This task and the following one will involve creating a new footpath above beautiful La Rosiere Bay.
All welcome, please wear appropriate clothing and foot wear, and bring gardening gloves if you have them.
After a few hours of toil the workers will be rewarded with light refreshments
The department is always immensely grateful to groups and individuals who make the effort to assist in carrying out conservation work in Jersey, and without the help of people such as yourselves, we would not be able to carry out as much work as we do achieve.
For further details or enquiries regarding this task, please contact Julia Meldrum
We look forward to seeing you on February 14th 2010!
