The main measure of Jersey’s population is provided by the Census. Census data are supplemented by annual estimates calculated by updating the baseline census data with more recent birth, death and migration data.
Jersey’s population was 87,186 at the last Census in March 2001. (The next Census will be held in 2011.)
By the end of 2008 Jersey's population had increased to 91,800.
