Jersey Labour Market June 2009
Public sector employment is compiled by the States of Jersey Treasury; private sector employment is reported as a requirement of the Regulation of Undertakings and Development Law (RUDL).
- In June 2009, 56,250 people were employed in Jersey.
- This total represents a decrease of 360 on the previous June.
- 88% of the total were employed in the private sector.
- 960 people were registered with Social Security as unemployed in Jersey in June 2009.
- In June 2009 about 49,500 were employed in the private sector.
