A photographic exhibition by local A-level students is currently being staged at Jersey Airport.
The exhibition, which focuses on Jersey’s culture has been arranged by up to 60 students from Hautlieu School, giving them invaluable experience, according to the school’s head of photography and exhibition organiser, Michael McKinlay. He said, “Staging an exhibition such as this gives some purpose to the student’s work, providing a final point of completion. It will also give them renewed confidence in their creativity and skills”.
The community based project has already been displayed in other locations around the Island, including the offices of Jersey Tourism and the central library. The subject matter is varied, ranging from landscape images to people and places, with a particular emphasis on youth culture.
The photographic exhibition is being staged in the landside arrivals terminal at Jersey Airport until 31 March 2010.
