The Minister for Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is asking for ‘expressions of interest’ from companies who would like to pre-qualify to receive tenders for providing and operating the Island’s bus service from 2013.
The current bus contract, held by Connex Jersey Ltd, runs out at the end of 2012. To ensure a seamless transition to the new contract, Transport and Technical Services (TTS) has to set the tendering process in motion now, giving it 2 years to get the new contract and contractor ready for a 2013 start.
TTS is looking for a company to provide and operate all services on both the public and schools bus network. The contract will be for at least 5 years.
Anyone who is interested in being considered as a tenderer should write expressing their interest to:
C Miller
Transport Logistics Manager
Transport and Technical Services
PO Box 412
South Hill
St Helier
Jersey
JE4 8UY
Submissions should arrive no later than noon on Friday 10 December 2010.
The minister will then select who goes on to the next pre-qualification stage of the process from the list of applicants.
