Jersey Airport begins its annual programme of festive activities with the launch of the ever-popular public raffle. With a record number of prizes being offered this year, passengers can look forward to a ranging from flying lessons to airline tickets and overnight accommodation.
Tickets can now be purchased from the information desk in the departures hall for just £1, with all proceeds going to Help a Jersey Child. The draw will take place on the evening of Tuesday 14 December.
Each year, Jersey Airport relies on the generosity of its business partners to contribute to the fundraising activities and this year is no exception. Airport fire fighting station officer, Robin Le Huquet, who heads the fundraising committee said “We are extremely grateful for the amount of support we have received so far for such a worthwhile cause. Last year we managed to raise over £2,400 thanks to the generosity of passengers, staff and members of the public. It would be great if we could equal that sum or better yet, beat it!”
A full programme of festive activities will be available on Jersey Airport's website.
