Jersey’s Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, is in the Isle of Man this week to discuss a wide range of topics with his counterpart, Treasury Minister Anne Craine MHK, and with the Economic Development Minister, Allan Bell MHK.
The ministers will be liaising on issues that affect both jurisdictions, including their responses to the global financial crisis and their reviews of business taxation.
Senator Ozouf will also be meeting the Isle of Man’s Chief Minister, Anthony Brown MHK, and paying a courtesy visit to Tynwald. He said “I have already said that I believe the Channel Islands have a lot in common in terms of the challenges we face.
“While there is more distance – both geographically and organisationally – between Jersey and the Isle of Man, we do have many issues in common and it is important that all the Crown Dependencies maintain strong links and keep in regular contact.”
