Jersey Airport will be welcoming a very special visitor on Saturday 4 December 2010 with the official arrival in the Island of Father Christmas and his helpers. He is due to touch down at 1.50pm and children will have the opportunity to meet him in the arrivals terminal before he heads off on his sleigh to begin his journey around the Island.
The annual fund-raising event is organised by the Jersey Round Table and all monies collected are donated to the Joint Christmas Appeal.
Jersey Airport’s Marketing Manager, Alan Donald, is pleased that the airport will once again be the first stop on Father Christmas’s official tour. He said “We welcome a number of VIP guests at Jersey Airport during the year but no other arrival is more eagerly anticipated than that of Father Christmas. For us it marks the start of the Christmas festivities and we are hoping that as many children (and adults) as possible will join us in the arrivals terminal on Saturday afternoon and help give him a huge Jersey welcome.”
