Jersey’s labour market report for June 2010 has been published. The report is published every 6 months and covers key aspects of both public and private sector total employment.
The labour market report for June 2010 shows that:
- in June 2010 56,200 people were employed in Jersey, essentially at the same level as a year earlier
- 88% of the total were employed in the private sector
- the largest decrease was recorded by the finance sector, down 480 on an annual basis
- the largest increase was recorded by the construction sector, up 240 on an annual basis
