08 April 2010
Careers Jersey, with the support of the Skills Board, is holding a third Jobs Fair on Thursday 15 April at St Helier Town Hall between 12 - 2pm and 5 - 7pm.
The event follows the success of the first 2 jobs fairs held in 2009, which were well received by both employers and more than 1,000 job seekers who attended.
The purpose of these events is to bring together companies with current employment vacancies and job seekers in the Island, allowing the 2 parties to meet and, where appropriate, to arrange more formal interviews.
A cross-section of the Island's industries will be represented, including hospitality, armed services, self-employment, finance and volunteer opportunities.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their CV to give out to employers. It is not necessary to wear a suit to the event, although a smart appearance is always recommended when meeting potential employers.
There will be no charge for employers or employees to attend the fair. There are still a couple of stands available for businesses with current vacancies. For more information on exhibiting at the event, you should contact the Careers team by phone on +44 (0) 1534 449440 or via email.
