For the second year Jersey Airport has been chosen as the venue to stage the annual Hautlieu School Student Photographic Exhibition.
The exhibition is put together by more than 60 A-level and AS-level students and includes a diverse mix of Jersey based images, including nature, landscapes and culture.
Head of Photography at Hautlieu School, Michael McKinley said "The exhibition is an excellent platform for students to promote their work in a commercial environment and may encourage some of them to pursue a future career in the competitive art and design industry. It also allows the school to celebrate the student’s creative talent as well as promoting the Island’s heritage in a modern and dynamic manner."
Jersey Airport continues to be a popular venue for staging exhibitions by both local and visiting artists. Terminal Manager for Jersey Airport, Steve Read said "Exhibitions such as this one by Hautlieu School provides a great taster for visitors to get a glimpse of our Island’s beauty. It is also pleasing for residents to appreciate local art and talent as they wait in the terminal to collect passengers. As always, we look forward to holding similar exhibitions in the future."
The Hautlieu School Photographic Exhibition is in the landside arrivals terminal at Jersey Airport until Friday 1 July 2011.
