Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is asking for election candidates and their helpers to keep within the election advertising guidelines when putting up posters.
Already some posters have been put up in places that are hazardous to drivers and pedestrians. Posters have also been spotted on road signs which can obscure or confuse important information for vehicle users and others have been attached below 7 feet high which could cause injury to pedestrians.
As this is a danger to the public, candidates and their helpers are being asked to move the posters immediately. If TTS find any posters that are causing concern, they will take them down.
