Jersey Fire and Rescue Service were called to help a 5 year old girl who had trapped her leg when playing in a community playground on Wednesday 13 July 2011.
The girl was trapped between a metal basketball pole and a concrete wall and the crew used equipment that is normally used at road traffic accidents to create space to bring her to safety.
The girl escaped without injury and requested a photograph so she could take it to school.
Watch Manager Richard Ryan said "5 year old Maya Berner was a very brave little girl throughout the whole ordeal."
